Founded in 1996, the Community Center Alliance is a 501 ( c ) (3) not-for-profit organization that serves as the fundraising arm of the Agoura Hills / Calabasas Community Center. A Board of Directors consisting of local community members acts to improve the quality of life for people in the community.
The Alliance’s goal is to raise funds to support the programs, activities and services provided by the Agoura Hills / Calabasas Community Center.
The Community Center is a unique partnership between two neighboring cities, the City of Agoura Hills and City of Calabasas. Together the Cities formed a Joint Powers Authority to build and provide the community with a recreation facility for fitness, athletics, youth and adult programming and social interaction. While the Community Center is an extension of the community service efforts of the cities, the Community Center operates independently relying on its program and user fees to maintain all of its operations.
The mission of the Agoura Hills / Calabasas Community Center Joint Powers Authority is to enhance the quality of life of individuals and the community by providing recreational, social and educational programs, services and opportunities for people of all ages and abilities.
Some of the programs, activities and services provided by the Community Center include:
